The researcher Kenichi Okada, Keio University in Tokyo, is showing at a conference a printer capable of printing aromas. The researcher used a Canon printer capable of emitting a tiny amount of paint to emit smells precisely, lemon, vanilla, apple and mint, were some of the successful tests of printer Okada. The smell is so far not too strong or long lasting, the scent disappears after being nosed twice on average. The researcher is looking at ways of smell be automatically printed with the images so that an apple has the same smell of the fruit on paper. Of course, we still have years of study ahead until it actually can happen, since there is a simple mixture of flavors in the formation, unlike the creation of colors, where you can make almost any color from red green, blue and black.
