Anatel confirms: unlocking of handsets is compulsory and free

March 13th, 2010

The FCC confirmed that Hi it’s been since 2007: unlocking unit is compulsory and free at any time. The Hi is very proud to have been the first to have a campaign against the blockade of appliances, denouncing abuses by providers for consumers. The campaign showed how it would be pathetic if the operators solve defend the cell block. Thus, the TV films showed the Men-Operators, characters who handcuffed to consumers in an analogy to what other operators were doing with their customers by adopting the block. The campaign was a success and soon fell in popular taste. Thanks to community Hi, thousands of consumers have engaged in this fight. The mobilization of society he messed with the phone market, making the FCC leaves no doubt: everyone has the right to have their phones unlocked for free, anytime, including when buying. Therefore, the release should be required at time of purchase. It is a universal right. Learn more about the new regulation: www.oi.com.br / unlock

Rats

March 8th, 2010
Can you imagine having to stay an hour in a place infested with rats, let alone sleep and eat in the place for 24 hours. I had trouble even reading this article. Now it wasn’t even the rats that got the poor guys moved…it was the smell of the dead ones in the walls. Sixty firefighters worked in that environment since March.Oh hell no. I posted before I was sent to a nursing home for one day where I had to work in a room with a mouse and when I left there had flea bites. I pitched a hissy fit people still remember. Refused to go back. Now I admit guys are a little different, alot tougher…but damn, since March?? Wouldn’t you of called OSHA, public health department, a blue holiday?

Blogging Code of Ethics?

March 5th, 2010
My first thoughts were to laugh and think here we go again…some people just have to have rules and structure. So afraid of anarchy. I’ve worked with many people in my life that things just have to be in place. Authority and rules has to be clearly delineated. When these things are not present it is total chaos for these people. They will push, shove and question you to death until their piece of the world is clearly black and white. Shades of gray is very uncomfortable.I was reading an article on a news site last night that I tried to find to link to, but the article was discussing the “unregulated web”. It briefly touched on the Kobe accuser and how her name was published on the web and supposedly some false scandalous stories concerning her. The gist of the story was “What are we going to do to stop this?” There are unethical people out there that loves to create sensationalism…blah, blah. The web is as untamed as the wild west. What in the world are we going to do?? Isn’t that damn ironic from the news media?
Anyway I find the whole thing sort of cute. Maybe we need a committee to make the rules. Maybe we need to elect a Blog President so we can maintain democracy on the web. Then the committees can monitor the president to make sure he’s legit. Then they can hire web police to make sure we are following these rules. We can all send these people part of our income to finance their rule making and monitoring of the web. Then we will be started on a great path to true freedom on the web.
